A quick and polished session around St Salvator’s Quad, perfect for those looking for some classic St Andrews backdrops on a tight schedule. Possible locations include:

The longest session that offers maximum flexibility and personalisation. This is ideal for larger groups and for a relaxed shoot across multiple locations in town, including the cathedral, pier, and beach. Possible locations include:

Absolutely! Family and friends are very welcome to join your graduation photoshoot. There’s no limit on numbers, and pets are welcome too!
If you’re planning a larger group, it’s worth considering a slightly longer session to make sure there’s enough time to capture a relaxed mix of group photos and individual moments.

What you wear for your graduation photos is completely up to you and can reflect your personal style. For the graduation ceremony itself, you’ll be required to wear academic dress, as set out by the University of St Andrews.
Most graduates choose to also wear academic dress for the photos, as this avoids the need to change during the day and gives the classic graduation look!

Graduation gowns are provided by the University of St Andrews, so I don’t supply gowns directly. You can find full details on how to book, collect, and return your gown on the University’s official graduation website.

We’ll meet just outside the entrance to St Salvator’s Quad, by the PH on North Street. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll have my contact details so we can easily get in touch on the day.

No need to worry! This is something we’re well prepared for in Scotland. I work with professional equipment that’s protected against rain, and I know a variety of covered and sheltered locations around St Andrews that still provide a classic and timeless backdrop.
Whether it’s sunshine or rain, your graduation photos will still look natural, elegant, and true to the town.

Graduation photography sessions in St Andrews often start booking up as early as January, so I recommend booking as soon as possible to secure your preferred time slot.
If you’re booking closer to your graduation date, it’s still worth getting in touch, there may still be slots available. However, early booking gives you the best choice of times and helps ensure everything fits perfectly around your day.

Graduation photography pricing depends on the session length you choose. My available packages are:
15-minute session – £50
30-minute session – £70
60-minute session – £110
Each session offers a relaxed experience, with professionally edited photos returned to you within 10 working days, and unlimited digital access to your final images. Full details of what’s included in the different sessions can be found above.

St Andrews graduation ceremony lengths can vary slightly depending on the school. To be safe, I recommend allowing around 1.5 hours from the ceremony start time until you’re back outside in the quad and ready for photos.
You’ll also need to arrive at Younger Hall around 45 minutes before the ceremony begins. Gowns are collected in the morning and returned in the afternoon, which gives plenty of flexibility to schedule a photoshoot either before or after the ceremony without feeling rushed.

Your graduation photos will be delivered within 10 working days of your graduation day, although they’re often ready sooner. This timeframe allows me to carefully edit each image while accommodating the busy graduation period.
The edited photos will be sent to you in a digital format, ready to download and share with friends and family.

Yes, you can reschedule your graduation photoshoot up to two weeks in advance. While I’ll always do my best to accommodate changes, availability can be limited close to graduation week, so alternative slots can’t be guaranteed.
If you’d like to transfer your booking to someone else, this can be arranged up to one week in advance.
